Serena Merry, known affectionately as ‘Miss Merry’, is a literacy specialist with both government and independent school teaching experience that spans over 20+ years, including on secondment for the Department as a policy officer in the Early Childhood Education sector.
Specialising in practical application of evidence-based early childhood practices, Serena employs strategic analysis of current practice and data to develop creative and cohesive educational solutions for improvement. This includes developing a series of Early Years Learning Videos to support continuity of learning between kindergarten and primary school, as established in 2013.
